About us
Our Mission
KAT Youth Football was established in 1990 in Tonawanda, New York with the mission of establishing a program that would compete for excellence season after season. For more than two decades, KAT has been developing youth football players on its practice field at Lincoln Park in pursuit of that mission. KAT -- often though to mean "Kenmore and Tonawanda" -- stands for "Kids Are Terrific" and is the football home of players from around Western New York. Despite being located in Tonawanda, many of our players live in the City of Buffalo and Town of Amherst.
KAT presently competes in OATKA Youth Football as its league. Each team in OATKA has four age/weight divisions:
- Varsity (12-14 yo)
- Junior Varsity (10-11 yo)
- Freshmen (8-9 yo)
- Pee Wee (5-7 yo)
Commissioner - Rocky Palmiero
Vice Commissioner - John Wright
Varsity Head Coach
Junior Varsity Head Coach - John Wright
Freshmen Head Coach - AJ Comfort
Pee Wee Head Coach - Bob Carbone
We continue to practice at Lincoln Park in Tonawanda, which is located at the map below:

What Parents are saying about KAT
In just two years of playing tackle football, I have seen my son not only become a better athlete but become more confident and disciplined as a result of the challenges that football brings.
From the time a player starts with KAT, it is all about fundamentals. If you want your son to properly learn the ropes of playing football, this is a great organization to be a part of.
The coaches at KAT care about winning but they care about building a supportive and safe community for the kids even more.
